About Us
St. Barnabas Episcopal Church was founded in 1876 and is the oldest Episcopal congregation in Denton County.
When the new church building was completed in 2020, parish leadership articulated four pillars that define our priorities as a church:
Worship— Worshipping the Lord according to our rich Anglican heritage—including a commitment to excellence in liturgy and sacred music.
Fellowship— Building and nurturing relationships with one another; growing closer as a parish family through social events and small groups.
Education— Offering Christian formation opportunities that help us apply the faith to our everyday lives.
Outreach— Reaching out to our community with the Good News and helping others to become disciples of Jesus; making a tangible difference in the lives of others.
With these four pillars of church life always in mind, we strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Denton and beyond.
